Job summary

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co in Olympia, WA is seeking an Outside Service Tech. You will perform commercial tire and wheel work, dismount, balance, rotate, and replace tires, and maintain the service vehicle and shop. The role emphasizes safe, quality, and timely service on customer sites.

Applicants should have at least 6 months tire experience, a valid driver’s license, and a clean MVR. The position offers hourly pay plus service commissions and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Pass a background & drug screen.
• 6 months commercial tire experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year clean MVR (no DUIs).

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replace commercial tires/wheels.
• Service calls as scheduled by service manager.
• Keep service vehicle fully stocked and maintain it daily.
• Assist in basic facility maintenance and shop organization.
• Seek opportunities to improve products and services.

• Preventative maintenance of the service vehicle - daily inspection, oil changes, etc.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hards / on-call program?

• Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to the customer
