Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers is seeking a full-time Outside Service Tech in Renton, WA. You will perform tire and wheel installations, balance and rotate tires, and service calls while keeping the service vehicle stocked and well-maintained.

The role requires 6 months of commercial tire experience, a valid driver’s license, and a clean MVR. We offer training, incentives, benefits, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6 months commercial tire experience required.
• Ability to pass a background & drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license; 3-yr clean MVR with no DUIs.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replace commercial tires/wheels.
• Service calls as scheduled by service manager.
• Keep service vehicle fully stocked.
• Perform preventative maintenance of the service vehicle.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization.
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services.
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.

*Outside Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call programs.

DRUG TESTING

**Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
