Job summary

Moore Tires in Mendota, IL is seeking an Experienced Tire Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and tire systems. You will perform oil changes, brake work, alignments, tire mounts/demounts, and routine maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must have some or limited training in automotive repair, with desire to learn and develop further.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and various types of equipment.
• Test drive all vehicles repaired.
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Oil changes, brakes, suspensions & other mechanical work.
• Conduct routine maintenance to improve vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Assess tread levels and valve quality on tires & check wear patterns.
• Mounts/demounts tires.
• Ensure conformance to industry standards.
• Examine and repair tires;
• Perform preventative maintenance; respond to emergency road calls as needed.
• Perform vehicle alignments

• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive vehicles and various types of equipment.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: Must meet or exceed standards set by the industry recognized trade organizations. High School diploma or GED preferred. Must have some or limited training in automotive repair, with demonstrated ability and desire to learn and develop further in this area.

License/Certification: Valid driver’s license required.

Computer Skills: Entry level knowledge of computer equipment and applicable software applications.
