Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service is seeking an Automotive Technician to independently repair and service customer vehicles, delivering top quality and satisfaction. The role includes tire work, oil changes, inspections, diagnostics, and accurate estimates within a fast-paced team setting.

Candidate should have a HS diploma, 1 year of experience with ASE certs, and a valid driver's license; a technical degree is a plus. Join an employee-owned team dedicated to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with 1–3 ASE certifications preferred.
• Technical degree is a plus for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Mount/dismount tires, balance tires, and perform repairs on tires and wheels.
• Perform oil/lube/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Document vehicle safety inspections.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs using automotive tools and PC programs (e.g., VAST).
• Produce accurate repair estimates for customers.
• Communicate with customers and staff about repairs and value.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and company policies.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer's vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune‑ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.

Skills/Knowledge

• Customer service focus in a retail environment
