Job summary

Straub Automotive in West Virginia is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our winning team. The role offers $100K+ potential and a sign-on bonus up to $10K, with a focus on diagnostics and high-quality repairs.

You will work in a family-owned shop that values training, safety, and career growth, offering on-site and off-site training and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dealership experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills, including electrical work.
• ASE certifications or factory training preferred.
• Diesel and transmission experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repairs with precision and efficiency on customer vehicles.
• Prepare and recondition vehicles for resale and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer safety standards and inspections.
• Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to satisfy customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnostics & Repair– Diagnose and repair customer vehicles with precision and efficiency. This includes electrical diagnostics and drivability issues.
• Recon– Prepare and recondition vehicles for resale, ensuring quality.
• Quality & Safety– Complete repairs to manufacturer and safety standards.
• Teamwork– Work with service advisors and fellow technicians to keep customers happy.

What We're Looking For

• Experience – 3+ years of dealership experience.
• Diagnostic Skills – Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills, including electrical diagnostics.
• Certifications– ASE certifications and/or manufacturer training a preferred.
• Specialty Skills– Diesel and transmission experience a plus, but not required.
• Work Ethic– Self-motivated, dependable, and team oriented.
• Driving Record– Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Education– High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability– Ability to work Saturdays.
