What you'll do here:
As a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer, you will guide clients through tax preparation, including multiyear, multistate, and year-end forms, and provide IRS audit support. Your responsibilities include completing e-filing, reviewing returns with clients, and ensuring accurate submission to IRS and state agencies.
- Conduct face-to-face tax interviews
- Drive business growth and client retention
- Answer client calls and questions
- Assist with tax planning and future advice
- Handle payments and deposits
- Participate in marketing efforts
- Collaborate with team members and support office priorities
- Mentor teammates and potentially act as a lead
- Handle sensitive, confidential information responsibly
Skills you'll bring for success:
- 2+ seasons of tax experience
- Experience with individual, trust, and partnership returns
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful completion of Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
- Field Instructor, Remote Support, or Call Center certification (a plus)
- Tax planning and audit support experience (preferred)
- CPA or Enrolled Agent license (a bonus)
- PTIN Certification
