Job summary

CLA is seeking an Experienced Tax Associate to join our team in Albuquerque, NM or Phoenix/Tucson, AZ. You will prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations and partnerships, and assist with tax research under guidance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, CPA eligibility preferred, and about 1 year of relevant experience (internships may count). CLA offers a supportive environment for career growth.

• CPA eligibility preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred (prior internship(s) may be acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of income tax returns, as well as performing limited tax research with guidance.
• Handles routine client tax questions and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
• Have the ability to prepare simple tax returns.
• Completes tax related research and special projects as needed.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA eligibility preferred

1 year of relevant experience preferred
