Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses in an in-person Block Advisors office.

You will interview clients to understand their financial situations, provide personalized recommendations, and build lasting relationships through empathetic, consultative service. Training and technology support are provided as you grow your tax expertise and client base.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and audit support.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and product/service recommendations.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
