Job summary

Tom James Custom Clothing's sales office in San Antonio, TX is seeking a full-time Seamstress/Tailor or Master Tailor who excels in his or her trade and delivers finely tailored garments with great attention to detail. This is a fully on-site position with attendance required and a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include alterations for men’s and women’s garments, such as shortening sleeves, tapering garments, adjusting waistlines, and ensuring proper sizing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail or customer-service environment.

• Take in/out trousers waist
• Take in/out seat and rise on pants

• Taper trouser thighs and foot widths
• Ensure proper sizing of clients
• Manages all interactions with professionalism
• Tracks detailed alteration production daily
• Performs alterations on all garments submitted for alteration, presses finished garment, removes threads, and completes for client-ready
• Completes all work promptly to ensure customer delivery date
• Maintains a clean work environment and maintains all required paperwork related to daily assignments

Tom James Custom Clothing sales office in San Antonio, TX is seeking a full-time Seamstress/Tailor or Master Tailor who excels in his or her trade and possesses a talent for delivering the finest tailored clothing with excellent attention to detail. Employees must be able to work quickly in a fast-paced office environment. Weekly hours for this position are 40. Compensation for this position will be based upon our Piece Rate structure. This Is a Fully On-site Position, With Attendance Required.

Job Summary

Performs alterations as directed for our clients' high-end garments and delivers professionally finished garments on time. Demonstrates knowledge of fabric and standard tailoring concepts and procedures with quality workmanship for men's and women's garments.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of garment construction in men's and women's apparel and ability to perform high-quality workmanship including hand and by machine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter
• Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently with a strong organization of time
