Job summary

Azure Standard is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure on-site in Moro, Oregon. You will be responsible for servers, identity and access, virtualization, networking, backups, and related business systems, reporting to the IT Operations Manager.

The role emphasizes patching, recoverability, and secure configurations, enabling senior engineers to focus on larger projects. Occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Six years of hands-on systems administration in a multi-server environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Experience administering Linux systems.
• Experience with virtualization and backup systems.
• Familiarity with basic networking, including VLANs and firewall concepts.
• Ability to perform hands‑on hardware work and to document work in a ticketing system.
• Ability to work on-site in Moro, Oregon, and to support occasional after-hours maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, applications, and related systems, including scheduled patching and follow-up after updates.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and availability, and resolve or escalation operational issues.
• Oversee backups and recovery readiness, including regular verification and periodic restore testing.
• Administer directory services, accounts, permissions, and privileged access, including support for onboarding and offboarding.
• Support the virtual environment, including monitoring, provisioning, and routine host and virtual-machine maintenance.
• Help maintain network security and segmentation, and assist with infrastructure installs and changes.
• Provide hands-on support for server, network, and related hardware work as needed.
• Participate in routine security reviews and remediation, and assist with incidents when required.
• Track work in the ticketing system and keep infrastructure documentation current.
• Work occasional evenings or weekends for maintenance windows and urgent infrastructure issues.
