Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer to join its Temporary Works group in the NY/NJ area. You will design, review and optimize temporary structures and support construction teams with on-site engineering and coordination.

The role emphasizes safety, risk mitigation, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams on bridges, cofferdams, crane lifts, and other temporary works.

Qualifications

• Accredited B.S. in Civil/Structural Eng; M.S. preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure or US eligibility.
• Experience with AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA-3D.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods.
• Review calculations and designs per codes and criteria.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of design deliverables.
• Identify design risks and assist with mitigation.
• Assist in project management incl. budgets, schedules, client coordination.
• Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections.
