Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer for our Temporary Works group. You will design and review temporary structures, perform calculations, and support field teams to ensure safe, efficient construction across North America.

The role emphasizes teamwork, practical designs, and risk mitigation. The position offers on-site roles based in Westlake, TX, Omaha, NE, or Lenexa, KS, with opportunities to lead and mentor junior engineers while delivering quality

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; MS preferred.
• 4+ years in temporary structures or construction engineering.
• PE licensure or eligibility in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with design software like AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA-3D is advantageous.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods.
• Perform or review calculations and design drawings per codes and criteria.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of design deliverables.
• Identify design risks and assist with mitigation planning.
• Assist in project management including budgets and schedules.
• Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections; mentor E.I.T.s.
