Job summary

Atlas Badger Toyotalift is seeking full-time Field Forklift Technicians to support customers in the Racine, WI area. Initial training occurs at the New Berlin, WI shop. Technicians repair Toyota and other lift trucks, perform preventive maintenance, and travel within the territory to service equipment.

The role offers ongoing technical training, manufacturer certifications, a company-provided service van, uniforms, and a path for career growth within the material handling industry.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing forklifts or material handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical/electrical repair skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Willingness to travel within territory for field service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other lift trucks and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer specs on material handling gear.
• Safely operate common workshop tools and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of Atlas products and service expectations.
• Keep tools organized and participate in safety inspections and trainings.

Description

We are currently hiring full-time Field Forklift Technicians to support customers in the Racine, WI area. We are looking for technicians with forklift and/or material handling repair experience who are ready to put their skills to work in a field service role. While the role will primarily service customer material handling equipment throughout the Racine market, all new hires will complete initial training at our primary shop in New Berlin, WI. Badger Toyotalift offers ongoing technical training, manufacturer certifications, and professional development opportunities to help experienced technicians continue to grow their careers in the material handling industry.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other makes of lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.


• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacture specifications on material handling equipment, stackers, electric tow trucks, and transporters.


• Safely operate grinders, drill presses, air compressors, and other common hand and power tools in accordance with company safety standards.


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Atlas.


• Maintain personal technician tools and equipment for safe and efficient daily operations.


• Complete service repair assignments in timely manner.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines.


• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.


• Strong mechanical, electrical, and equipment repair skills.


• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial or automotive equipment.


• Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• A willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.


• Customer service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• The ability to manage time and attendance. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This position requires but is not limited to standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 80 lbs., routinely 20-50 lbs.


• Field Technician Positions: Regular travel within an assigned territory is required; the ability to operate a motor vehicle is necessary for this role.
