Job summary

Atlas Bobcat Inc in Chicago is seeking full-time Field and Shop Forklift Technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain lift trucks and related equipment. The role includes hands-on service, preventative maintenance, and ongoing training to enhance technical proficiency.

Technicians will work with Toyota and other makes, travel within a territory, and enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime. Atlas supports employee growth with a company van, uniforms, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial or automotive equipment.
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
• Ability to manage time and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other makes of lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products serviced by Atlas.
• Maintain personal technician tools and equipment for safe operations.
• Complete service repair assignments in a timely manner.
• Keep a clean and organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently hiring full-time Field and Shop Forklift Technicians. Forklift experience is preferred, but automotive, diesel, farm equipment, heavy equipment, and industrial mechanics are encouraged to apply. What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other makes of lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacture specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Atlas.
• Maintain personal technician tools and equipment for safe and efficient daily operations.
• Complete service repair assignments in timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and equipment repair skills.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial or automotive equipment.
• A willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
• The ability to manage time and attendance. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This position requires but is not limited to standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 80 lbs., routinely 20-50 lbs.
• Field Technician Positions: Regular travel within an assigned territory is required; the ability to operate a motor vehicle is necessary for this role.
