Job summary

Atlas Companies is seeking experienced Field Forklift Technicians to service Toyota and other lift trucks in the Racine, WI area. Training starts at the New Berlin shop; technicians will work in the Racine market and receive ongoing certifications and career development opportunities.

The role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with overtime potential, a comprehensive benefits package, and a company-provided service van and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills with field experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of hand tools and measurement devices.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training.
• Customer service orientation with solid communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other lift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specs on material handling equipment.
• Safely operate common tools and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and tools for efficient service.
• Complete service repairs in a timely manner and keep a clean workspace.
• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks.

Description

We are currently hiring full-time Field Forklift Technicians to support customers in the Racine, WI area. We are looking for technicians with forklift and/or material handling repair experience who are ready to put their skills to work in a field service role. While the role will primarily service customer material handling equipment throughout the Racine market, all new hires will complete initial training at our primary shop in New Berlin, WI. What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other makes of lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacture specifications on material handling equipment, stackers, electric tow trucks, and transporters.
• Safely operate grinders, drill presses, air compressors, and other common hand and power tools in accordance with company safety standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Atlas.
• Maintain personal technician tools and equipment for safe and efficient daily operations.
• Complete service repair assignments in timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and equipment repair skills.

• Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This position requires but is not limited to standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 80 lbs., routinely 20-50 lbs.
• Field Technician Positions: Regular travel within an assigned territory is required; the ability to operate a motor vehicle is necessary for this role.
