Job summary

Atlas Toyota Material Handling, part of the Atlas Companies, is looking for Field and Shop Forklift Mechanics. This role welcomes all experience levels and offers a company-provided service van and comprehensive benefits.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Toyota and other lift trucks, perform preventative maintenance, and stay current with product knowledge while working safely on-site or in the field.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and equipment repair skills.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial or automotive equipment.
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
• Ability to manage time and attendance with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other makes of lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Atlas.
• Maintain personal technician tools and equipment for safe and efficient daily operations.
• Complete service repair assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other makes of lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• This position requires but is not limited to standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 80 lbs., routinely 20-50 lbs.
• Field Technician Positions: Regular travel within an assigned territory is required; the ability to operate a motor vehicle is necessary for this role.
