Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. The RN will oversee patient care, complete medical forms, and support a high standard of nursing services.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, has supervisory experience, and is capable of adapting to a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends. Join a dedicated team focused on compassionate, quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have a current RN license for the state of practice.
• 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care facility.
• Completion of post-secondary education and ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must maintain regular attendance as required.
• Related experience at a level necessary to perform the position.
• Ability to adjust to a flexible schedule including evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Day to day supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff with counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Make independent decisions when warranted by circumstances.
• Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family, visitors, and government agencies.
