Job summary

Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN licensure in Texas (Permanent TX license within 60 days if establishing residency).
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHStroke certifications preferred/required.
• Education program approved by credentialing body as noted in Licenses section.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and participate in exams and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional care team for care plans.
• Lead unit initiatives, act as charge nurse or preceptor to students/new staff.
• Maintain medical records and advocate for patient rights and safety.
