Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• RN - Texas State Licensure; PSV Compact Licensure – must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA); ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) within 4 months
• Magnet certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care, including assessments, exams, treatment and patient education.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interprofessional care team to ensure quality care.
• Lead unit initiatives, serve as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees.
• Maintain accurate medical records and advocate for patient and family rights.
