Our acute care nurses practice in a premier environment, facilitated by our mission to be recognized as expert providers of innovative, personalized, and safe patient care. Opportunities are available across various specialties to expand your skills and knowledge:
Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekend programs and per diem. Full-time roles are 36 or 40 hours per week; part-time roles are less than 36 hours per week. Holiday and weekend requirements vary by unit and company policies. Per diem positions require a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Candidates must complete an initial 7-day classroom orientation followed by unit-specific orientation.
Minimum of one year of registered nurse experience required. An individualized orientation program is provided for all areas. Maintain current BLS certification. Nurses with less than 1 year of experience should see our internship page: https://www.slhn.org/nursing-opportunities
Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).
Ability to sit up to 2 hours per day, stand for up to 10 hours, walk for 6 hours, and lift/carry/push objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 500 lbs. via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher. Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, perceive attributes through touch, hear, and see as needed for general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision.
