R.T. Moore is seeking a Plumbing Foreman to lead a small crew on on-site plumbing installations and inspections in Bradenton, FL.

You will ensure first-time quality and code compliance while meeting project schedules under the supervision of the job site Superintendent. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, effective communication, and proactive problem solving to deliver high-quality work with minimal rework.

Qualifications

• JP license OR 4 years minimum construction experience and 2 years MEP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Independent and proactive problem solving and critical thinking.
• Disposition for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.

Responsibilities

• First Time Quality: manage quality and code compliance through the job site team; create punch lists; track rework.
• Manage Installation to Work Scope: execute plans, manpower, safety, and report progress to Superintendent.
• Proactive Communication: communicate with Superintendent and attend meetings; meet schedules and labor budgets.

The role of Plumber Foreman is critical in leading and developing a small crew in the safe, timely, and quality installation and inspection of plumbing systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

First Time Quality

• Efficiently manage first‑time quality and code compliance through the job site team as assigned by the job site Superintendent
• Perform daily quality inspections per RTMC Quality Standards, create punch lists
• Diligently track rework down to the individual contributor; individual training as required

Manage Installation to Work Scope and Specifications

• Execute production plans and schedules under the direction of the Superintendent, including manpower and safety
• Manage the installation of plumbing to the work scope, report piece rate and hourly to the Superintendent
• Efficiently utilize labor and material through planning and leadership; communicate change‑order needs to the Superintendent
• Timely execution of the Daily Huddle in the absence of the job site Superintendent: set expectations for quality and productivity needs with crews
• Consistently manage material usage, staging and movement, job‑site inventory management, and equipment/tools as directed by the Superintendent

Proactive Communication

• Professionally and effectively communicate with the Superintendent; punctually attend meetings as requested by the Superintendent, Sr. Superintendent or PM
• Diligently meet agreed‑upon schedules and labor budgets as assigned

Culture

• Actively engage in workforce development; lead by example—RTMC code of conduct and core values—representing RTMC professionally
• Responsibly lead projects to achieve no injuries or accidents due to non‑compliance or careless behavior
• Proactively ensure job site safety
• Consistently achieve high levels of employee engagement through effective leadership and management of projects so that employees have a sense of pride in the work and maximize their earning potential
• Assist in retaining and developing talent

QUALIFICATIONS

• JP license OR 4 years minimum construction experience and 2 years MEP
• Clear, effective communication skills – both written and verbal
• Aptitude for prioritizing and coordinating a variety of tasks
• Independent and proactive problem‑solving and critical thinking
• Disposition for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization
• Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently
• Proficient in using basic office equipment
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Suite plus Internet and email
• Ability to investigate, gather information, and be self‑sufficient
• Competent in IMC, IBC, IPC and how that translates into field installation and application
• Strong understanding of construction methods and construction document interpretation
• A desire to grow and be challenged; willing to dive into a fast‑paced and constantly evolving business
• Competent in job‑site record keeping and communication methods such as Daily Logs, “toolbox talks”, change orders, “Daily Huddles,” and material receiving
• Completed OSHA 10
