Job summary

DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is seeking a Physical Therapist to treat patients using standard physical therapy procedures and to evaluate and document motor and neurological function. The role includes developing home care programs, instructing families, and mentoring staff, with responsibilities across interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities also include co-signing notes, maintaining equipment, and contributing to ongoing professional development within a leading rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and/or certification from an accredited PT program (required).
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of 60 points on the professional growth and development criteria.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients using standard physical therapy procedures (heat, cold, electricity, traction, ultrasound, exercise).
• Evaluate patients' motor and neurological capabilities and document findings.
• Develop home therapy programs for patients and provide family instruction.
• Co-sign notes by PT assistants, aides, and students and mentor staff.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in treatment areas and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.

Skills

Three years of clinical experience

Active Michigan PT license

Education

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Certification from accredited PT program
