Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist II. Shifts are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotation every other Saturday 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay range is $24.50–$26.25 per hour.

Eligible for annual bonus in some cases and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include 3 years phlebotomy experience and a HS diploma; certification preferred in certain states. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders by using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparation for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties like inventory and sanitation.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
• Complete training courses timely.
