Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role covers days with on-call responsibilities, supporting surgical patients through perioperative care and education.

You will scrub and circulate across service lines during orientation, with opportunities to rotate to specialty call teams. You will join a dedicated OR team renowned for patient-centered care, safety initiatives, and a commitment to caregiver well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care throughout the patient care journey.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for the surgical patient.
• Assess changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Develop goals with patients and families; coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Administer treatments and medications; document care.
• Participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary evaluation.
