Job summary

Aspen Grove Veterinary Care in Fort Collins is seeking a Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician to support a busy small animal practice. You will assist veterinarians, monitor anesthesia, perform blood draws, and help with diagnostics, imaging, and client communication. The position offers full-time or part-time schedules, with Saturdays required, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary assistant experience or RVT credentials is required.
  • Strong veterinary technical skills are essential.
  • Experience with anesthetic monitoring and diagnostic imaging is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide care during procedures and recovery.
  • Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples.
  • Run in-house laboratory diagnostics and assist with imaging.

What You'll Do
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive care throughout procedures and recovery
  • Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
  • Run in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging, including digital radiography and ultrasound
  • Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients
  • Maintain accurate medical notes and patient documentation
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Deliver an outstanding experience for pets and their people
