Role: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Status: Part-time
Salary: $18-$22 per hour
Schedule: 20-25 hours a week

Mission
Aspen View Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. Veterinary Technicians are the primary medical support for our veterinarians and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care, client education, and hospital leadership.

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care and support for hospitalized and outpatient patients
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in condition to veterinarians
- Administer injectable, topical, oral, and intravenous medications as directed
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Perform laboratory testing including bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, fecal testing, and diagnostic screening
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical and dental procedures from preparation through recovery
- Perform dental cleanings, charting, and patient assessments
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Educate clients regarding preventive care, treatment plans, medications, and patient wellness
- Assist with emergency patient care and triage as needed
- Support training, mentorship, and supervision of team members and technician students
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Successful completion of the VTNE
- Strong technical skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and patient care
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to make sound decisions in fast‑paced situations
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Ability to safely handle and restrain patients of varying sizes and temperaments
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and assist with larger patients as needed
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and client service
