Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital, part of The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, NV, seeks an Open Heart Scrub Technician to support cardiothoracic procedures. You will scrub for Open Heart cases and assist with heart-lung pump equipment, ensuring sterile technique and instrument readiness.

Requirements include a CST credential and BLS, with 2+ years OR scrubbing and 1+ year Open Heart scrub experience; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training.
• Minimum 2 years scrubbing in a major operating room; at least 1 year Open Heart Scrub Technician experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiothoracic surgeons with instrumentation for Open Heart surgery.
• Assist in preparation and management of tubings used by the heart-lung pump machine.
