Job summary

Cerchione Hurowitz Law Group LLP in New York City seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join our in-house Law Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of New York motion practice and strong capabilities in case analysis, legal research and writing, and calendar management.

You will handle dispositive motions, communicate with clients and court personnel, manage a caseload, and supervise paralegals in a busy, public-interest oriented firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in New York law firm handling substantive motion work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational and case management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft dispositive and other motions and opposition papers; prepare/edit legal documents.
• Handle oral arguments.
• Communicate effectively with clients, adversaries, judges, and court personnel.

Cerchione Hurowitz Law Group LLP, one of New York City's leading personal injury litigation firms, is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to become a part of our Law Department! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in New York motion practice. Strong case analysis, legal research and legal writing, calendar management and communication skills are required, as is a thorough knowledge of CPLR, New York motion practice and court operations in all metropolitan New York counties.

Responsibilities

• Draft dispositive and other substantive motions and opposition papers and prepare/edit other legal documents;
• Handle oral arguments;
• Effectively communicate with clients, adversaries, judges and court personnel;
• Manage an active caseload;
• Oversee the work of paralegals and legal assistants;
