Job summary

Altaire Apartments in Arlington, VA seeks an Experienced Service Technician to perform maintenance across the community. You will handle plumbing, locks, appliances, electrical work, and HVAC tasks while ensuring safety and reporting needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Role requires 1–3 years in community maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and availability for after-hours emergencies and one weekend day. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years' experience in Community Management or property maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be available to assist in after-hours emergencies.
• Must be available for night/weekend call duty.
• Must be able to lift 25-100 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work during inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing repairs
• Repair/replace locks, smoke alarms
• Appliance repairs
• Electrical repairs
• Roofing inspection/minor roof repairs
• HVAC repairs
• Inspect property and report safety hazards or needed repairs.
• Assist with hazards from weather events and with vendor access in occupied units.

Skills
