The role involves reading blueprints, welding structural components, and adhering to safety rules in a fabrication shop. The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, can read a tape measure, and works well in a fast-paced team environment while meeting production

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Able to excel in a team environment.
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers positively.
• Work well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Maintain production, quality and attendance as directed.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints and layouts to fit structural parts for welding.
• Lay out guidelines on metal parts and cut with a cutting torch.
• Weld metal components for steel poles, substations, and structures.
• Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.
• Move pole shafts with an overhead crane and assemble parts.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Support management with assigned duties.
• Actively participate in department safety.
