Virtuous Health Centers in Show Low, AZ seeks an experienced mid-level provider (NP/PA) to join our interventional pain management team. You will evaluate and manage patients with chronic and acute pain, coordinate interventional procedures, and collaborate with physicians to deliver comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate has an Arizona NP/PA license, a DEA license, and 2+ years in pain management or related fields.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in Arizona
• 2+ years of pain management/anesthesia experience preferred
• DEA license to prescribe controlled substances
• Experience with interventional pain procedures is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
• Proficient with EHR systems
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced clinic

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized pain management plans
• Order interventional pain management procedures that fit patient care plans
• Conduct thorough history and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and labs
• Prescribe and manage medications including controlled substances
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR

• Order interventional pain management procedures that fit well with patient care plans
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results relevant to pain management
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, treatment options, and expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system

Requirements:

• Active NP or PA license in the state of Arizona
• 2+ years of experience in pain management, anesthesia, or a related specialty preferred
• DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances
• Experience with interventional pain procedures is a strong plus
