Role Description

The Experienced Micropile and Large Diameter Driller will operate drilling rigs and related heavy equipment to install micropiles, large diameter drilled shafts, and other deep foundation elements. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up drilling sites, reading and following project plans, monitoring drilling parameters, and ensuring work complies with safety and quality standards. The role encompasses performing inspections of equipment and work areas, coordinating with site supervisors and crews, and maintaining accurate drilling logs and project documentation. This is a full-time, on-site position located in the New York City Metropolitan Area, requiring daily presence on active construction sites and occasional overtime as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with heavy equipment used in foundation drilling operations, including safe setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in drilling and micropile installation, with solid knowledge of large diameter drilling techniques and subsurface conditions.
• Ability to perform thorough inspections of drilling equipment, tools, and work areas to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Background in oil & gas or related drilling industries is beneficial, especially experience with deep foundation and subsurface work.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices, including adherence to OSHA and company safety policies
• Reliable physical capability to work outdoors in varying conditions, lift equipment and materials, and stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse field crews and supervisors.
• Valid driver’s license; commercial driver’s license (CDL) and relevant drilling or equipment certifications are a plus.
