Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience operating drill rigs or similar heavy equipment in foundation, geotechnical, or construction environments.
  • OSHA 30 certification (No more than 4 years old)
  • Rigging and Signaling certification (No more than 4 years old)
  • Valid Medical card
  • Valid Forklift certification
  • Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and job site hazard awareness.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic site plans, layouts, and project instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to recognize and report equipment issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on demanding job sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and any required site certifications or training preferred.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused professional to operate drill rig equipment for Heavy Civil Construction projects. In this role, you will support and establish foundational structures, caissons, micro-piles, sheet piles, and other required drilling and boring by performing drilling operations accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate drill rig equipment for Heavy Civil or Industrial Construction sites, to support and establish foundational structures including, caissons, micro-piles, sheet piles drilling, auguring, and related site activities.
  • Set up, inspect, and maintain drilling equipment and associated tools before and during use.
  • Follow project plans, drilling layouts, and site instructions to complete work accurately.
  • Monitor drilling conditions and make adjustments as needed to maintain safety and productivity.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Work closely with supervisors, crews, and other trades to coordinate daily operations.
