Qualifications

• Job related experience is required; paralegal certificate a plus.
• Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules is required.
• Experience handling medical records and confidential information is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support to medical malpractice attorneys through all phases of litigation
• Draft, format, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Maintain attorney calendars, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements
• File documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing systems)
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and experts
• Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with firm procedures
• Assist with billing entries, timekeeping, and expense tracking as required
• Perform other administrative and litigation-related tasks as assigned
