Qualifications

• Florida Bar admission is required.
• Approximately 2 to 10 years of litigation experience is required; candidates in the 5 to 10 year range strongly aligned with the role.
• Medical malpractice defense litigation experience is highly relevant.
• Experience taking depositions and attending hearings is required.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and drafting skills are required.
• Writing sample is required for consideration.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are required.
• Ability to manage significant responsibility independently while working collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
• Strong communication, professionalism, judgment, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Team-oriented approach, strong work ethic, and commitment to high-quality legal representation are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle medical malpractice defense litigation matters from case development through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, memoranda, discovery responses, and other written work product.
• Take and defend depositions and attend hearings, conferences, and other litigation proceedings.
• Assist with case strategy, trial preparation, investigation, and evaluation of claims.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and internal team members.
• Manage multiple cases, deadlines, and assignments while maintaining strong attention to detail.
