• Experience working in a medical practice
• Strong understanding of health insurance, copays, deductibles, eligibility and basic patient financial responsibilities
• Experience scheduling patients and managing a busy front desk
• Comfortable communicating with patients by phone and in person
• Organized, dependable and able to multitask
• Comfortable with computers and electronic medical records
• Kind, patient and professional — even when the front desk gets busy
• Able to work well with providers, clinical staff and billing staff
