Job summary

You will diagnose and repair marine engines and systems on inboard and outboard power, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, perform routine service, winterize and commission vessels, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on marine service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple systems.
• Experience with Mercury/MerCruiser and Yanmar engines.
• Exposure to plumbing and HVAC systems is valued.
• Ability to operate a marine travel lift.
• Certifications valued, not required.
• Yanmar Mercury / MerCruiser ABYC Systems or similar.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced, well-rounded Marine Service Technician who enjoys a mix of diagnostics, mechanical work, and hands‑on time in the yard. This is a role for someone who takes pride in solving problems and wants to be part of a growing operation that is included in an intimate Chespeake Bay Marina portfolio. Tucked along a quiet, protected creek just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay, this opportunity offers more than just a job. What This Role Involves

This is a hands‑on technician role supporting a range of service work across multiple systems. You’ll be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing marine engines and systems
• Working with inboard and outboard engines
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Completing routine service and preventative maintenance
• Supporting a clean, organized, and efficient service operation

Requirements

We’re looking for technicians who are confident in their abilities and take pride in their work.

• 3+ years of hands‑on marine service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple systems
• Experience with Mercury/MerCruiser and Yanmar engines
• Exposure to plumbing and HVAC systems is highly valued
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
• Ability to operate a marine travel lift
• Certifications (Valued, Not Required)
• Yanmar Mercury / MerCruiser ABYC Systems or similar
