Job summary

Compass Maritime Group is seeking an experienced Marine Service Technician for a hands-on role in Edgewater, MD. The job combines diagnostics, mechanical work, and yard time in a growing marina portfolio along Chesapeake Bay.

You will diagnose and repair marine engines and systems on inboard and outboard setups, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, perform routine service and preventative maintenance, and support yard operations including travel lift work, winterizing, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on marine service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple systems.
• Experience with Mercury/MerCruiser and Yanmar engines.
• Exposure to plumbing and HVAC systems is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
• Ability to operate a marine travel lift.

Our client is looking for an experienced, well-rounded Marine Service Technician who enjoys a mix of diagnostics, mechanical work, and hands-on time in the yard. This is a role for someone who takes pride in solving problems and wants to be part of a growing operation that is included in an intimate Chespeake Bay Marina portfolio.

Tucked along a quiet, protected creek just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay, this opportunity offers more than just a job. What This Role Involves

This is a hands-on technician role supporting a range of service work across multiple systems.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing marine engines and systems
  
• Working with inboard and outboard engines
  
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  
• Completing routine service and preventative maintenance

Requirements

We’re looking for technicians who are confident in their abilities and take pride in their work.

• 3+ years of hands-on marine service experience
  
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple systems

• Exposure to plumbing and HVAC systems is highly valued
  
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
