IncrediCare in Annandale, VA seeks a compassionate caregiver for a 4-hour morning shift (9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday to Friday). Role develops into more hours for the right candidate with experience in caring for clients including those with Parkinson’s.

Training is provided and benefits are offered. Must have CPR, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, daily personal care, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and escorting

Formación

• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Adhere to CDC health and safety guidelines including COVID-19 precautions.
• Housekeeping and cooking with attention to dietary needs.
• Must have a compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and interact well with clients and families.
• Physical stamina for daily tasks and other duties.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with ambulation and mobility around the home or at appointments.
• Provide redirection and activity support for sundowning.
• Support personal care and hygiene needs.
• Assist with prescribed physical therapy and exercises.
• Shop or accompany clients on errands as needed.
• Gather information from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family.
• Report unusual incidents to medical staff and family.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Help with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Provide redirection and activity support for sundowning
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Help with completingphysical therapy and other recommended exercise
• Complete shopping or accompany clientswhen they shop if needed
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements

• Previous caregiver experience preferred
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, including those outlined by the CDC in relation to COVID-19
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent
