Job summary

IncrediCare is seeking an evening caregiver to support clients in their homes in Ashburn, VA. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with potential hours increasing based on client needs.

The position requires CPR certification, reliable transportation and a high school diploma. Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and coordinating with medical teams while ensuring safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current CPR (American Heart Association) certification is required.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, including CDC COVID-19 guidelines.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking with dietary considerations.
• Must be respectful, compassionate, and have good bedside manner.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help with ambulation and mobility at home or outside (appointments, walks).
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support with completing physical therapy and exercises.
• Run shopping errands or accompany clients to shops.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched areas, including changing bed sheets.

Responsibilities

• Help with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Help with completing physical therapy and other recommended exercise
• Complete shopping or accompany clients when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched areas, including changing bed sheets

Requirements

• Previous caregiver experience preferred
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, including those outlined by the CDC in relation to COVID-19
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
