Job summary

Westover Companies is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician for its apartment community in Aldan, PA. The role focuses on routine and preventative maintenance across units and common areas, with duties spanning HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and on-call support.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate safe use of tools, physical capacity for lifting, and strong teamwork with leasing and maintenance staff. Westover offers comprehensive benefits and a sign-on bonus for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools.
• Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
• Be able to shovel and salt as required.
• Perform routine, preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
• Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
• Able and willing to lift objects as required.
• Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Identify safety hazards and communicate any issues.
• Follow company operational and safety procedures.
• Ability to work on an on-call schedule as required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer
• Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members
• Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned
• Sharing on-call responsibility
• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues
• Providing own (basic) hand tools
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Attending in-house training as required
• Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs
