Job summary

Spangler Candy seeks an experienced machinist in Bryan, OH to plan, lay out and perform machining and assembly on a range of equipment, producing parts to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

You will design tooling and fixtures, select speeds and feeds, operate lathes, mills and drill presses, read blueprints, perform inspections, and maintain equipment while following safety and sanitation policies.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and drawings to plan machining.
• Apprenticeship or several years’ experience in machining.
• Familiar with shop tools, measuring devices and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Plans, lays out and performs machining and assembling operations.
• Selects tooling, sets speeds/feeds and ensures accuracy.
• Machines parts to close tolerances and follows safety policies.
• Maintains and cleans work area and performs preventative maintenance.
