Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products.
• Review menus and recipes before preparing meals; prepare and serve diets properly using portions and special diet items.
• Follow standardized recipes and diets to meet service requirements.
• Test and taste foods for appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature; adjust as needed.
• Time meals to meet service schedules for patients and customers.
• Check trays for accuracy of diets and preferences; deliver carts to floors.
