Job summary

Maryland Transit Administration is seeking an experienced A-Repairman-Locksmith to install, repair, and maintain locks and access control devices across MTA facilities. The role requires pinning lock tumblers and coordinating with a supervisor to meet project deadlines.

The candidate will work with various locks, alarms, cameras and software, performing low voltage tasks and ensuring compliance with electrical standards and local codes. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience as an Access Control technician and a Locksmith.
• Three (3) years working experience with electronics, low voltage, networks, and door/locking hardware.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot and maintain access control systems and locks.
• Cut keys manually and mechanically; pin cores and manage key codes.
• Install cameras, alarms, and CAT cables; configure access control software.
