Job summary

Cavanagh Sorich Law Group, a Chicago-based plaintiff’s personal injury firm, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, trial-focused environment.

You will manage case files from pre-suit through trial, draft pleadings, handle discovery, coordinate for expert discovery and trial, and support damages development with organized medical records and billing analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff personal injury strongly preferred).
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Strong command of civil procedure, discovery practice, and e-filing systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
• Clear, professional communication and proactive case management.

Responsibilities

• Manage case files from pre-suit through trial, including case development and file management support
• Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and court filings
• Coordinate and prepare for expert discovery and trial, including exhibit organization and witness materials
• Oversee medical record and billing collection, analysis, and summarization to support damages development
• Maintain case files and deadlines within the firm’s case management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with attorneys on deadlines and case progression
