Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. in Tampa is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support two attorneys in a fast-paced civil litigation practice. This is an in-office role with no remote work.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of litigation support experience, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong organizational skills. Florida E-Filing Portal proficiency is required; insurance defense and/or appellate experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in civil litigation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with the Florida E-Filing Portal and court procedures.
• Strong organizational abilities and multitasking capacity.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing administrative support to two attorneys.
• Managing calendars and coordinating scheduling communications.
• Preparing and filing routine pleadings and documents with court procedures.
• Locating and compiling case-relevant information.
• Ensuring compliance with client guidelines, firm policies, and judge-specific procedures.
• Scheduling with mediators, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.
• Maintaining client and court deadlines in line with policies.
