Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz, LLP is seeking an Litigation Attorney to join our litigation team in Santa Rosa, California.

We are looking for an accomplished litigator with significant experience handling complex civil matters from initial evaluation through trial. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of litigation experience, strong courtroom and trial skills, and the ability to independently manage significant matters and client relationships. Experience in employment law and business litigation is particularly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Litigation Attorney will have substantial responsibility for matters and will work directly with clients and other members of the firm's litigation team. Responsibilities may include:

• Advising clients regarding disputes, risk management, and pre-litigation strategy
• Independently managing complex civil litigation matters
• Developing case strategy from initial evaluation through resolution or trial
• Drafting and arguing significant motions
• Managing all phases of discovery
• Leading settlement negotiations
• Preparing cases for trial and serving as lead trial counsel
• Supervising and mentoring associates, paralegals, and other members of the litigation team
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Managing an established book of business and its client relationships

Preferred Experience

While we handle a broad range of civil litigation, we are particularly interested in candidates with substantial experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Employment litigation and counseling
• Business and commercial litigation
• Contract and business disputes
• Partnership, shareholder, and closely held business disputes
• Real estate and other complex civil litigation

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
• Approximately 7 or more years of civil litigation experience
• Demonstrated trial experience
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Sound professional judgment and the ability to independently manage complex matters
• Strong client-service and relationship-management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow an established book of business
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• An interest in contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm's litigation practice

Base salary: $150,000-$200,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for bonuses and performance incentives.
