Permanent Placements LLC is assisting in recruiting a Litigation Attorney for a nationally recognized defense firm in California. The role supports remote work based in Northern California, handling sophisticated defense matters across all stages from inception through trial.

The ideal candidate has 4-7 years of defense litigation experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and is in good standing with the California Bar.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active California Bar in good standing is required.
• 4-7 years of defense litigation experience in a law firm.
• Experience managing cases from inception through resolution.
• Strong motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategies and advise clients regarding litigation risks and opportunities.
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage written discovery and case development.
• Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Communicate with clients regarding case strategy and developments; collaborate with attorneys, experts, and support staff.
• Maintain high-quality work product while meeting deadlines and priorities.

Our client, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4-7 years of defense litigation experience to join its California litigation team. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work arrangement based in Northern California while handling sophisticated litigation matters through all stages of the dispute process.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution and trial preparation
• Develop case strategies and advise clients regarding litigation risks and opportunities
• Draft and argue:
• Pleadings
• Motions
• Discovery responses
• Briefs
• Other substantive litigation filings
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage written discovery and case development
• Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
• Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and litigation support professionals
• Maintain high-quality work product while managing multiple deadlines and priorities

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
• 4-7 years of defense litigation experience
• Experience managing cases independently from inception through resolution
• Strong motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience
