Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking Journeyman Lineman in Port Arthur, TX, onsite work for transmission and distribution projects. You will perform complex construction and maintenance on energized circuits, and supervise other workers as needed in a safety-sensitive environment.

The role requires completing Apprentice 4th Step/Junior Lineman qualifications, familiar with hot line tools, and holding a Class A CDL. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Equivalent experience with Apprentice 4th Step and/or Junior Lineman.
• Plan and lay out work safely and efficiently.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams and blueprints for transmission and distribution.
• Must have completed 700 level certification and hold Switchman certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct work of assistants, instruct and train new employees.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers as authorized.
• Maintain SAP safety plan compliance and reporting.
• Stock control and material handling as required.
