YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Lifeguard II to assist the Aquatic Director in supervising the pool area and modeling standards with a positive attitude. The role involves coordinating lifeguard rotations, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for members and program participants.

Candidates should have 2+ years lifeguarding experience, current YMCA Lifeguard Certification, CPR, AED and First Aid.

Formación

• Must be 18+ years old and physically fit.
• Minimum 2 years lifeguarding experience.
• Current YMCA Lifeguard Certification, CPR, AED and First Aid.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe aquatic area and provide real-time feedback to staff.
• Coordinate lifeguard placement and rotations for efficiency and safety.
• Open/close pools and support in pool chemistry as needed.
• Act as lifeguard during shifts and model standards.
• Serve as first-level contact for incidents and document events.
• Deliver quality customer service to members and participants.
• Attend monthly in-service trainings.
